I began professionally singing in 1967, performing in Columbus, Ohio, and surrounding areas, before forming a trio and touring in Ohio, Florida, and California. I also travelled the globe in the early 1970's performing on the cruise ship "Pacific Princess (The Love Boat)."
I started composing music early on, inspired by the songwriters of the 1960's.
I began working with two other writers in 1990 forming Tryad Writers Group composing for the theater. Our first production, "I Was Young….Now I'm Wonderful," was voted by local theater critics as the best musical of the 1990's.It was featured on PBS and performed worldwide The second play, "I've Almost got the Hang of It", was performed locally to great reviews.
The latest production, "The Druid Tree," was the first commissioned work by the Columbus Children's Theater. The Company travelled with the show to Edinburgh Scotland's Fringe Festival in 2000, again to great reviews. I currently continue to write songs since retiring to North Wales U.K.
Below are a few of my songs. I have been involved in music for over 30 years, during which time a few hundred songs have been born! These songs are a mix of pop, folk, jazz, blues, gospel, bluegrass, country and music for the theater. Writing to me is therapy. I write because I need to, and I need to, because I love it! I am always interested in opinions, after all, they sort of make us what we are. So let me know what you think, good or bad. Thanks.
